What are my values? How do I apply them in this tricky situation? What if they clash with someone else’s values? These are just some of the questions that this Values for Lifelong Learners series encourages students to explore and answer. Targeting students at a formative, highly impressionable age (11–13 years), its activities tap into a range of well-tested teaching methods for identifying and reflecting on values. A key component of each book is the dilemmas section, in which students examine their values within the context of various moral issues that many young people face today. The books are organised to gradually broaden the focus outwards: starting from the individual (Book 1), then moving on to the community (Book 2) and finally the environment (Book 3).
