WELCOME TO WELL-BEING (W2W):
SAMPLE (free) WELL-BEING LESSON PLANS FOR JUNIOR PRIMARY (Ages: 4-7+)

This page has been designed to give teachers of lower primary school children an opportunity to trial this new Positive Psychology programme called Welcome to Well-Being (W2W). Here you will find all the components, physical and digital, to deliver up to three well-being lessons to children in Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class.

The programme consists of three Teacher Resource books, each with ten lessons on well-being. There is a corresponding Pupil Book and Digital Companion Page (similar to this one) for each level. Digital companion pages typically contain a PowerPoint presentation for each lesson and a complete Teacher Lesson Plan. They also contain a mixture of supplementary worksheets, videos, posters and other activities related to the lesson. Classroom Posters enhance each lesson and these can be found in the Teacher Resource book and on the Digital Companion Page. The posters can also be ordered separately on A3 silk-quality card and come in a keep-safe polythene folder.

Below you can see what each of the three levels cover. The highlighted lesson under each set of book covers is the topic that is available for free. Choose a year programmme, click on the highlighted lesson or scroll down to see all three available lessons, one for each class.

You can find out lots more information about the programme by visiting the Welcome to Well-Being Homepage
