This journal is designed for children aged 8-12+ although older children might find the activities beneficial too.

We hope your child enjoys and benefits from this new well-being journal. It has been created to help them to understand and support their own mental health and well-being, using various strategies which can be thought of as ‘tools.’ It would be helpful to ask your child to talk about these strategies with you, so that you can support them too, and maybe talk about how you might use the tools yourself.

About the Author:

Fiona Forman is an author, speaker, and facilitator in the area of children’s mental health and well-being. She holds a M.Sc. in Applied Positive Psychology, which is the science of well-being. She is the co-author/author of the school programmes Weaving Well-Being and Welcome to Well-Being, which are used in most primary schools in Ireland. She is also author of two secondary school programmes. Her book for parents is called Braver than you Believe and her other book for children is called Self-Kindness for Kids: Whizzo-Voice to the Rescue!
