Description

A Year of The Banner by Kevin Haugh is a fascinating collection of articles and stories from County Clare celebrating each day of the year. With facts, events and milestones selected from the fields of history, sport, music, the arts, literature, popular culture, etc., this 500-page treasure will offer the reader an insight into key events that have helped to shape County Clare.

The idea of the book was born out of a suggestion by two lifetime friends of the author, Michael Hanley and Michael O’Brien, while they were on the County Clare section of the Wild Atlantic Way in the summer of 2016. The two Michaels wanted Kevin to think about putting together a collection of stories from County Clare for every day of the year. The idea was planted and so the project began!

Author Dr. Kevin Haugh joined Clare FM’s Pat in studio in December to discuss this new book ‘A Year of the Banner‘. Click below to hear the podcast.
