Generalizing

Being able to compare and contrast social situations helps students predict what will happen in future events and to predict outcomes. These structured lessons begin with learning to compare and contrast things in basic categories. As the lessons progress to social situations, students learn that many situations are very similar in a number of ways, making them more comfortable as they experience these new events.
