About the Author:
Denise Heald has worked in early childhood education for many years. She has a Master of Education (First Class Hons) and has been Preschool Programme Leader at an educational institute. Denise noticed throughout her years as a mother and an early childhood teacher, that children thoroughly enjoyed participating in stories, especially those that she made up as she went along. These stories became a way of using a variety of interesting resources as well as extending young children’s thinking through improvisation and imagination.
