A national organisation and registered charity, ASPIRE is the Autism Spectrum Association of Ireland. It was established in 1995 by a group of parents to support individuals with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome, a type of autism on the autism spectrum. Today autism is not categorised in the same way. ASPIRE continues to support their Aspergers’ community but are expanding their remit to support the broader autistic community.
